How the places were won
As Wikipedia summarises the Toronto 2015 rules, the top two nations in the team competition in Mississauga qualified two gymnasts per event, and the remaining four places per event went, one each, to the best other nations in the individual competition.
| Event | Gold | Silver | Bronze |
|---|---|---|---|
| Men's team | Canada | United States | Brazil |
| Men's individual | Canada | Canada | United States |
| Women's team | Canada | Mexico | Argentina |
| Women's individual | Canada | Canada | Brazil |
Compare the women's lines with the medals. The women's team medals in Mississauga went to Canada, Mexico and Argentina, yet the list gives two women's places to the United States and one to Mexico. The list, not the medal table, is what decided the entries in Toronto.
